Rush Township, Schuylkill County is accepting applications for Full-Time Sanitary Sewer Collection System Operator/Laborer. The
position includes operation and maintenance duties for gravity
and low-pressure sanitary sewer systems located in the Villages
of Hometown and Lake Hauto with Rush Township. The employee performs various duties including but not limited to routine
inspections and maintenance
activities associated with the
existing sanitary sewer systems, identification and scheduling
of required maintenance activities, and respond to emergency
situations regarding the sewer system. The candidate shall
possess the ability to work independently. Work with computers, GIS system (willing to train). Knowledge of sanitary sewer maintenance and/or installation practices is helpful but not
required. Applicants will be
required to be on call every other weekend. The position may
occasionally be required to assist the Rush Township Road
Department based on the
workload requirements for the sewer system. Will train and pay up to $25.00 per hour.

at the Rush
Township Municipal Building, 104 Mahanoy Avenue, Tamaqua, 8am to 4pm,
Monday thru Friday.
