Streets & Sanitation Laborers and Foreman
Freeland Borough is seeking applications for the positions of full-time Municipal Streets & Sanitation Department Laborers and Foreman. Essential duties of the positions include: Snow plowing, pothole patching/paving, lawn mowing, building maintenance, refuse collection, sign installation, and storm water system maintenance. Candidates must possess a Class B Manual CDL license, strong oral and written communication skills, and proficiency in general computer applications and Microsoft Office programs. These are full-time union positions, and salary and benefits are set per the collective bargaining agreement. All candidates are subject to ongoing drug and alcohol screening. Applications are also being accepted for part-time seasonal non-union plow truck drivers, at a rate of $12.00 per hour.
