Local EOE employer is seeking
a reliable individual for a
RESIDENTIAL CABLE TV, HIGH SPEED INTERNET AND TELEPHONY
LINEMAN.
Candidate should possess a high school diploma or GED. This person should have the basic knowledge of HFC Cable Network including analog, digital, data and combining and knowledge of RF sweeping, balancing and maintenance of cable plant.
The right person must possess a general knowledge of current pole, underground and fiber optic construction techniques. The candidate should possess a basic knowledge of current installation techniques and be able to lift, carry and climb a 28 ft. extension ladder and be able to climb poles with the use of gaffs. The applicant must be able to operate and work safely in a bucket truck. The candidate must be able to work independently on overhead or underground cable television plant and read system schematics.
Must have a valid Pennsylvania drivers license and the knowledge of how to use a bucket truck. Two-year certificate from a technical school or an associate degree in electrical engineering and/or prior field experience is also a plus. Any knowledge of telephony is a plus.
